Last year I wrote about my visit to Doug and Shari's majestic mountaintop rose garden. If you missed "What you didn't see in Southern Living", you can read the article here.
Last week I was invited back, and I must say the garden is more spectacular than ever.
Words cannot describe the beauty.
Words are not necessary.
So sit back and enjoy your personal mini tour.
Can we just say 'WOW!'? Is that a sufficient comment? What a garden; what a backdrop...
ReplyDeleteYou are right Neal. As I said, words simply cannot describe it. My teeny little brain was overwhelmed.
ReplyDeleteShangri la comes to mind.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely, Les.
ReplyDeleteWow, what a magnificent setting for a such a beautiful garden! Takes my breath away looking at those pictures. Wish I could be there!
ReplyDeleteYes Sunil, it is amazing. I can't imagine actually living there. I don't think I'd ever leave home! Hope your garden is coming along.
ReplyDeleteHi Lynn, yes, it's looking lovely. The roses on the arches are now in their second year and have reached eye-height. They're beginning to flower in succession and they really looking stunning.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! The mountains add so much to a garden!
ReplyDeleteIt is an inspiring sight, Skeeter!
ReplyDeleteThanks for a very interesting post - I love it when the 'little guy' wins ! Gives us all hope and inspiration ! Darcey Bussell is pretty fabulous too !
ReplyDeleteYes Jane, it was a treat to hear about Mike Athy's success. I hope he is able to follow his dream and create even more beautiful roses for us.
ReplyDeleteDarcey is one of my favorites -- always loaded of blooms!
